HELP US TURN ON THE LIGHTS!

Gallatin High School’s Field Enhancement Campaign will…

  • GHS Varsity Soccer

Add lighting to extend the use of two turf fields

Lighted fields will enable extended use during the short autumn days.

When not used by Gallatin High, the community can access the turf fields for other sports and beyond daylight hours, increasing seasons and accessibility.

This will create additional opportunities for students and the broader community to use enhanced practice fields at Bozeman Sports Park.

Fundraising efforts are currently underway to add lights to field #13, which is set to be built in 2025.

  • GHS Varsity Football

Provide another practice field for fall sports

Gallatin High Football and Soccer teams will no longer have to raise thousands of dollars every year simply to rent practice fields.

With this project, they will have one field constructed in 2025 to call their own, similar to Bozeman High, and another will be built as soon as funds are raised.

Soon, there will be no more traveling across town to practice sports.

Marching Band and PE classes will also have use of these fields, making them a huge benefit to Gallatin High students and athletes.

  • GHS Marching Band

Supply more outdoor space for students and athletes

We are thrilled the City and School District have partnered to add a practice field, additional school park, and a safe crossing across Oak Street.

A second practice field will be a tremendous benefit to Gallatin High students who currently have limited outdoor space for PE Classes, Marching Band practice, and other activities.

With seven teams in need of practice fields, one field just isn’t enough. Two fields will ensure all students and athletes have what they need to succeed.

  • GHS students

Create safer options for our young athletes and students

Having practice fields next to Gallatin High will eliminate the need for athletes to drive across town just to practice football. Forcing more than 100 student-athletes to drive to practice, often during busy traffic times, just doesn’t make sense.

Giving the marching band space to practice on an actual football field, rather than uneven grass, gives them the support they need to thrive.

Additionally, studies have shown that turf fields have fewer accidents than grass fields, and they’re easier to maintain.

    About the Project

The City and School District are formalizing a partnership to build a parking lot and a single practice field across the street from Gallatin High School. The Rise of the Raptors, a subcommittee of the GHS Booster Club, is raising funds to add lighting and an additional turf practice field to accommodate fall sports.

In addition to soccer and football, PE classes, the marching band, and the broader community will all benefit from these additional lighted fields.

    How to Donate

Gallatin High continues to build champions on and off the field. Our dedicated coaches and administration have helped our athletes earn state championships in golf, cross country, soccer, basketball, and track.

Overall, we are so proud of our student-athletes, regardless of record, yet their needs continue to grow.

Help us make this project a reality. Help us turn on the lights this fall and build momentum for an additional practice field in the near future.

    Frequently Asked Questions

In 2023, the GHS Booster Club met with the School District and City of Bozeman to discuss the school’s limited practice fields and inadequate parking. After exploring many options, the District and the City agreed to partner to build one practice field, a crosswalk, and a parking lot across from Gallatin High.

Although City-owned, GHS will have exclusivity to this field during fall sports and throughout the school year for PE classes. Learn why this project is so important to our school, athletes, and broader community.
